How to Compare Supplement Guarantees and Return Policies

"60-day money-back guarantee" sounds simple on a bottle. What it actually means in practice can vary a lot once you read the fine print — here's what's worth checking before you buy anything.

The window doesn't always start when you think

"60 days" can mean 60 days from your purchase date, or 60 days from the date you receive the product — and with international shipping sometimes taking weeks, that difference matters. Some policies also start the clock from the order confirmation rather than delivery, which can quietly shorten your real window. Check which one a specific policy actually uses.

"No questions asked" doesn't always mean no conditions

Some guarantees genuinely are simple — return it, get refunded. Others require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number requested in advance, a specific timeframe to send the product back after receiving that RMA (sometimes as short as 14 days), and returning every bottle from an order — including empty ones — for a full refund. Partial returns sometimes mean partial refunds only. None of this makes a guarantee illegitimate, but it does mean "no questions asked" and "conditions apply" can describe the exact same policy depending on who's summarizing it.

Who actually processes the refund

On most affiliate and direct-response supplement sites (including this one), your purchase is placed and refunded through the product's own retailer or fulfillment partner — not the review or catalog site you found the product on. That's normal and not a red flag by itself, but it does mean refund timing and customer service quality depend on that retailer, not the site that linked you there.

What's worth checking before you buy

This is general guidance on how to evaluate any guarantee, not a claim about a specific product's terms. See each product's own page and the retailer's actual policy for its current terms before buying.
